Description
This is my contest entry for 
's "Valentine's Day Rare Couples Contest." I noticed that Ratchet/Wheeljack was one of the pairings and thought it would be fun to show one of my fave Transformer pairings some love, while entering a contest at the same time. 
To be honest, I couldn't think of something for the drawing so I put it off for a while, but knew I wanted to enter the contest. So one day, I was listening to my iPod at school when the song "Valentine's Day" by Linkin Park started playing and it got me inspired to draw this.
I listened to the song a couple of times before my class started, and had decided that instead of Wheeljack getting hurt ('cause he usually does get hurt), that I could try to flip it around and make it that Ratchet gets hurt.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this one and tried out a lot of different things. ^^
Also, I need to think of a better title....
Transformers belongs to Hasbro.

Things that I tried out (for my own reference, but you can read if you want!
):
- Sketching directly into Sai (no preliminary sketchbook sketches)
- Didn't draw outlines before starting with color. (Basically applying what was learned from painting class into digital form)
- First time entering (or attempting to enter) a DA user Contest

NOOOOO! RATCHET MUST NOT DIE! HE IS TOO AMAZING! But I really do enjoy you switching it around. Ratch should get hurt once in a while. Or kidnapped. Then Wheeljack has to save him. Sorry. I do that a lot in my fanfics. I make Ratch a damsel in distress. But amazing picture. I really like it. And the role switch is awesome.
